About the event
"The Work that Reconnects helps people discover and experience their innate connections with each other and the self-healing powers of the web of life." - Joanna Macy
Together, we will engage in the spiral of the Work that Reconnects. We begin with gratitude to become present and remind us why we are here. Then, move into honouring our pain for the world to open our hearts and deliver us into the wider reaches of our interconnection. This helps us to see with new eyes and sense how intimately we are related to all that is. We close by going forth with intentions to support healing in our communities and lives.
Our time will involve group practices as well as solo time on the land. We will be indoors and outside so please come prepared for the weather.
Tickets/Registration: Pre-registration is required and space is limited to a maximum of 10 participants. It is recommended to register early to secure your spot. There are sliding scale options ranging from $80-120. There are also pay what you can (PWYC) spots available for anyone that would otherwise be unable to attend. Please purchase a ticket that most clearly reflects your financial means at this time. If you purchase a higher priced ticket, you are supporting someone else to attend. To purchase tickets please visit the event page here: http://aroundthespiral.eventbrite.com.
Location: This offering takes place at the beautiful CorUnum Yurt on Old West Saanich Rd. We will be spending time inside the yurt and the surrounding forest areas. Detailed directions will be provided upon registration.
Facilitators: This event is hosted by Trina Woods (www.alderleacounselling.ca) and Cadence Moffat McCann (www.innercadence.com). We honour our shared lineage of teachers including Joanna Macy and the Work that Reconnects.
COVID Considerations: We will maintain minimum physical distancing measures of 6ft/2m and ask that you sanitize your hands upon entry and exiting the yurt. Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell or have recently returned from travelling outside of the province or country.
*This gathering will be held on the unceded lands of the W̱SÁNEĆ and neighbouring Indigenous Peoples. We wholeheartedly commit to supporting a process of decolonization of this place.
