Heart Song ~ Remembering the Sacred Practice of Grieving - IN PERSON SERIES
Time & Location
About the event
“Grief work offers us a trail leading back to the vitality that is our birthright. When we fully honour our many losses, our lives become more fully able to embody the wild joy that aches to leap from our hearts into the shimmering world.” ~ Francis Weller
In these times, we all carry a weight of unresolved grief. Whether you are grieving the loss of a loved one, healing from ancestral wounding, or mourning the devastation of the Earth, there are countless forms of grief we experience. The global pandemic has not only brought this to light but also added to our grief by denying us the ability to grieve together. We need to remember how to grieve, how to hold one another in their grief, and how to release our grief to open our hearts to a deeper experience of love.
This is a 3-part series to support a process of remembering grief as a sacred practice in our lives. We will engage in ritual practices to explore the rich terrain of grief, find ways to navigate our way through grief, and ultimately receive the gifts it has to offer. The sessions will involve a combination of individual practices both indoors and outside, group sharing, and tending to the collective grief of the group.
These are the dates and themes of each session:
~ Saturday, November 7th (1:30-4:30pm): Entering the Terrain of Grief - creating a sacred container; exploring the gates of grief; individual practices to support grieving
~ Saturday, November 21st (1:30-4:30pm): Stepping Towards the Well of Grief - leaning into our own and each other's grief; practices to support attunement with one another
~ Saturday, December 5th (1:30-4:30pm): Gathering the Gifts of Grief - opening our hearts to love; deepening connection with self, other, and the Earth
