Lake Song ~ A Gathering of Sacred Movement and Voice
Time & Location
About the Event
You are invited to join us for an afternoon of sacred movement and singing in a beautiful lakeside location. This is an opportunity to come into deeper connection with yourself, others, and the Earth.
Mary Lloyd will offer a fun and welcoming, participatory movement warm up, followed by a silent headphones dance experience where you will have the opportunity to move freely throughout the land, allowing your body to guide the way. This will close with an invitation to sit quietly and tune into the magical song of the lake.
Then, we will head down to the dock for a sacred singing circle offered by Cadence Moffat McCann. We will join together in fluid harmony uniting our voices with the music of the water.
We will end with an option to swim in the lake and/or share a small snack before heading back up the road. A light snack will be provided but feel free to bring your own if you prefer not to share food.
This is an inclusive event open to anyone, all ages included. No dancing or singing experience is necessary. However, it will involve a few hundred metres of walking along a dirt road.
We are grateful to have the opportunity to gather on this beautiful land. Although there is a rustic cabin, we will not be going inside so there will be no access to toilet facilities. Please bring any necessary items to use nature for your personal needs, i.e. toilet paper and a ziploc bag to carry out used paper. Thank you for your understanding.
Cost: $30-60 sliding scale. Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Reserve your place with an e-transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org, password: lakesong. The exact location and directions will be sent upon registration.
