Financial Accessibility

As a commitment to decolonial practice and social justice, I offer reduced rates for marginalized folks with financial need. The intention is to make my offerings as accessible as possible.

To clarify, I am not in a place of financial abundance that allows me to redistribute resources this way. I do this because of my dedication to my values and factoring this into my pricing.

In addition to your current financial situation, please consider other factors and privileges you hold as well as access to financial support from your family or network. Paying the regular price, if you’re able, allows me to offer these discounts.

In order to decide which rate is right for you, here are some things to consider:

  • Full Rate: You are able to pay for ‘wants’ and spend little time worrying about securing necessities in your life. You have expendable income and access to savings.

  • 25% Discount:  You are able to meet your basic needs but have minimal expendable income. You may need to budget or cut back in some other areas to participate. Paying for this may qualify as a sacrifice but would not create hardship.

  • 50% or 75% Discount: You struggle to meet your basic needs and have no access to savings or expendable income. Accessing this offering at a higher price would mean significant financial hardship.

This is an honour system. I kindly ask to only use the discounts if you truly need them. I sincerely appreciate your honesty. If the cost is still a barrier, get in touch to discuss barter and trade options.

Still not sure if this applies to you? Contact me: innercadence@gmail.com.

*With gratitude to the work of Bear Hebert, Alexis J. Cunningfolk, and Shauna Janz for helping clarify my commitment to financial accessibility and develop these discounts.
