1:1 Grief Support
(Somatic & Land-Based)

A one-on-one space for somatic grief support, where you can gently tend what you’re carrying. Sessions are offered in-person in the Comox Valley, BC or online.

We work with the body, the land, and the natural rhythms of grief—allowing space for what is present to be witnessed, supported, and held in relationship.

You're welcome to begin in the way that feels most supportive:

A gentle first session to land, be met, and begin where you are.

A short, low pressure space to meet and see if this feels right for you.

Working Together

Grief moves at its own pace. This is a space to meet it as it is—without rushing, fixing, or trying to move past what is present.

We begin by listening for what is here, in your body and lived experience. There is no need to have the right words or a clear story.

Sessions may include somatic awareness, guided reflection, and—when possible—the support of the natural world. The land becomes part of the holding, offering a wider field for what is unfolding.

This is not a process of getting through grief, but of staying in relationship with it—supported, resourced, and not alone.

What This Work Can Support

You may feel drawn to this work if you are:

  • moving with grief—recent or long-held

  • carrying feelings that are hard to name, or difficult to hold on your own

  • feeling the weight of the world and unsure where it belongs

  • experiencing disconnection from yourself, others, or the natural world

  • longing for a way of being with grief that is not rushed, pathologized, or minimized

A Different Approach to Grief

In many spaces, grief is treated as something to resolve or move beyond. This work offers an alternative to traditional grief counselling, supporting grief through somatic and relational practice.

Here, grief is understood as a natural and necessary response to loss—

and as a doorway into deeper connection: to yourself, to others, and to the living world.

When grief is given space, attention, and relationship, it can begin to shift from something carried alone into something that connects.
